Let’s dive into the highlights of this release:
Choice Fields
We have added proper support for single and multi-choice fields in ReadySuite. In order to support choice fields, we’ve added a choice and multi-choice field type under Field Setup, the ability to convert imported text fields to choice fields in the document grid, and the ability to set a field as a choice field during import and overlay operations.
With these new field types – users will see improved performance, memory usage, and the ability to easily rename choice values instead of performing mass edits against similar text fields. We’ll continue to add choice support to other areas of the application, including existing Choice Tools scripts and batch edit functionality.
Copy Values
A new right-click context menu has been added to the document grid for copying values from the grid. In this update, you’ll be able to highlight values from multiple columns/rows, with the option to copy the values with or without headers. Additionally, you can choose to copy the values in different delimiter formats – such as Concordance, Tab, or Comma (CSV) delimited.
Grid Filter
We’ve added a quicker method to filter on blank or non-blank values to the document grid. Using the auto-filter row, and the filter editor, you’ll see easier filter options when looking for empty or populated fields with the “Is blank” and “Is not blank” options.
Link Field Option
A new setting exists in the main Options dialog for specifying the field values used to detect and populate the ‘Document Link’ or DocID* field in ReadySuite. Several values are pre-populated but users now have the ability to add or remove detected link field names.
Script Template
When creating a new script with the built-in the script editor, we’ve added a dialog for specifying the important script properties. Once these fields are filled-in, a script will be created using the values with will be ready to run.
